There was another NYC group (’74-78), The Rogues that further exemplified the musical bridge that foreshadowed the Punk movement. The Rogues , founded by Nicky Martyn (RIP) & Peter Rossi of Street Punk were soon joined by Tommy Coyne, the drummer of Teenage Lust, Dave Edwards, a respected NY session bass player who went on to play with Leslie West and Rick Derringer, among others and then Bobby Broderick (RIP), a young singer to the scene. The Rogues were a two guitar, song based band with a NYC All Star line-up and an urban cutting-NY Street edge but with musicianship.
